Introduction - Wildflower Hikes

The idea of producing wildflower guides that are hike specific is still very much an experiment. Can a worthwhile amount of information could be presented in an easily printable form to be taken along on a hike? Is it better than a guidebook or waiting until returning home to try to find the name of that special flower? Could enough images be included to provide a good sampling of what the hike had to offer and at the same time do it justice? Does it make sense to do a wildflower guide that is hike specific? Comments based on actual use are much appreciated (donovan@flowersofrainier.com).
