Introduction - Wildflower Hikes
Two terrific hikes for viewing some of the Flowers of Rainier originating from the Sunrise area are presented here each as a one page printable map with a brief guide and flower index. This is clearly an experiment to see whether a worthwhile amount of information could be presented in an easily printable form to be taken along on a hike; thus alleviating the need to pull out clumsy guidebooks from the pack or waiting until returning home to try to find the name of that special flower. Could enough images be included to provide a good sampling of what the hike had to offer and at the same time do it justice? Does it make sense to do a wildflower guide that is hike specific? Thoughts to ponder before any more are added. Comments are much appreciated.
